What countries or regions have the most need for doctors?
I want to become a doctor, maybe an obstetrician/gynecologist, in the future, and I really want to work in an area that’s underserved. I’m trying to decide which language to study through my college years so as to be able to communicate with the patients in these underserved areas, and I’m choosing between Chinese and Spanish. I’ve been thinking about either going to China (and thus having to learn Chinese) or staying here in the U.S. to serve communities with insufficient health care, for which I should probably study Spanish. Which country do you think has a greater need for health care?
Obstetrician/ Gynecologists. How to get there?
Okay, so at first I wanted to be a neonatal nurse, but now thinking about it, I really want to be an OB GYN, but I have a couple questions:
1. How do I become an OB GYN?
2. What classes in HS should I take?
3. What are the best schools to try to get into?
Not that these matter in my decision, but I’m still curious.
4. How long will it take?
5. How much do you make as an OB GYN
Extra:
I get really good grades, my GPA is currently 3.8.
I’m already taking Chemistry.

c-section? :(?
So, I’m 16 and I plan to become an Obstetrician/Gynecologist when I grow up (it’s my dream).
I am currently doing an internship as my 7th period at a hospital, and I finally got to see a c-section last night (I’ve been DYING to see one!).
So, it all went pretty well…all was fine until they started stitching up the uterus (I guess that’s what they were doing), and I started to feel lightheaded and as though I had a lump in my throat.
So, not to alarm anyone, I walked out and outside of the room I began to stumble and I couldn’t hold myself up (I ran my shoulder pretty hard into the wall). I felt dizzy and I KNEW I was going to faint. My ears were ringing and everything was extremely blurry.
Should I feel stupid?
Is this the career for me, if I can’t even stomach a c-section?
How the hell do I expect to do c-sections when watching it makes me faint?

should I marry him?
Hey well I am 17 and I have been daiting a guy that is 23 years old. He “really likes me”, and he want to marry me. My mom is facinated by this guy, so she is supporting this idea. I really like him, and when I am with him he makes me feel different. The feelings that I have towards him are different, more special. But before he came into my life I use to say that I was never going to get marry, and that I want to become an Obstetrician gynecologist. But I dont know if I am going to be able to persue my goal if I get marry. What should I do?
