painful sex, i read it could be dysesthetic vulvodynia?

i’m 54. does anyone have any ideas on how to help with painful sex. i read on the internet that it is dysethetic vulvodynia. the dr. says there is nothing wrong, it’s just dryness. don’t think so. i’ve tried all sorts of lubricants. any help? please and thank you.

women who suffer from VULVODYNIA???

Hey there… im 22 yr old girl and since the last year I had symthomes and been diagnoised with Vulvodynia. Im on a low dose anti-depressant for the pain which kinda helps.. but something recent I have been experiencing is sharp shoot pain in my inner labia. Has anyone experienced that? Im guessing it might be a muscle spasm??

Anyway… having vulvidynia sucks!! There was a point in my life last year where I became lierally hating my life because of the irrating pain, and the worse part of it … my symthoms started on my honeymoon (great timing)… but ever since I have been on my anti depressant I have been pretty much pain free.

I was also wondering if there was a web support group for this condition. I feel like im the only girl in the world who suffers from this.

Do any women experience vaginal/vulvar discomfort regularly and what do you use for treatment?

I have a combination of muscle spasms in my vagina, as well as vulvodynia/vestibulitis. I have been treating it with Amitriptyline for over a year now but am sick of taking that pill. Has anyone ever been diagnosed with the same problems and take something else that works good for controlling vaginal/vulvar discomfort?

I need help! Since last March or April, I have had this TERRIBLE itch. It’s hard to explain exactly where it is, but I guess it’s called the “clitoral hood” like the very top of my vagina right where my pubic hair starts… I have been to the Dr 3 times. All three times, the Dr has done every test there is to do, and the only thing she can come with is that it is a yeast infection. I have been on an oral yeast medication and 2 different prescription creams. NOTHING has worked! I don’t itch constantly, just different times during the day, and whenever it is touched (which has been taking a toll on out sex life) but when it’s itches, IT ITCHES! It is the worst most irritating itch you could ever imagine. I am starting to guess that this is not a yeast infection, and I haven’t gone back to the Dr for about a month and a half because I do not have insurance, and I don’t want to pay her $175 again for her to tell me it’s a yeast infection, and give me some more cream. The only other possibilty that I kind find online is Vulvodynia. I read that sometimes itching is a symptom. Does anyone know? CAn anyone help me? It’s really getting me down, and I want it to go away! HELP!

Do I Have Vulvodynia?

okie so im 15 and yes i do have sex.. but only with one person okie.. the first months we had sex it didnt hurt then all of a sudden im stopping him 10 minutes into it.. sitting there crying.. its been about 5 months now since it started hurting.. and eh i just hate the feeling i mean stopping him.. what does he get out of it.. nothing.. what do i get out of it.. nothing.. i dont want to talk to my mom about it becuz she’lll flip out thinking i have some std or something and not let me see my bf anymore?.. and whenever im at a doctor i have no privacy from her.. shes always there in the room and flips out if i ask her to leave.. i read up on something called Vulvodynia and i rlly think i have it.. but i cant talk to the dr about it. and its rlly getting on my nerves.. does it go away or do i rlly have to deal with it for the rest of my life.. it makes me feel so bad stopping my bf.. im rlly starting to get depressed about it..

Could I have Vulvodynia?

I have been to 2 different doctors about this and they hav ran tests and cannot find out what is wrong, everything is coming back that im healthy. I have had symptoms of burning, itching, redness, rawness, hurting during sex, discharge seems to be most of the itching and burning but im not sure. I have these symtoms around the lips of my vagina and the g spot mainly, occasionally it will irritate my clitoris. I have been dealing with these symptoms now for id say like a year and a half and some days are better than others. I cannot masturbate without itirritating my clit which is why i think the discharge may be adding or part of the symptoms. Sex with my bf of 2 years is very painful, any bit of pressure down there burns and im really stressing out. I am 34 weeks pregnant and i planned on having a natual birth and ive read u on Vulvodynia and its not life threatening but theres also not a cure from what ive read. Im just scared that im going to be in too muc pain, more than normal birth pain. I have been treated for stds also and bacterial vaginitis ad yeast and urinary tract infection and it sll comes out clear..can anyone help me? or is anyone going through this too? I really want to give birth to my daughter and not hav a c-section. Im just tired of dealing with this and not having any answers.

Vulvodynia, what do you do about it?

It wakes me up at 4am, can’t sleep, spent half my salary on doctors, ob gyns, transport, 2 days off work, kind of embarrased to see the doctor again, and will have to be referred to an ob gyn, so today I googled vuvlar pain, can’t sleep and up popped “vulvodynia”, so bought some calcium-Citrate, and calendula creme. After drinking coffee , did it burn!!!
Had skin prick sensations, burning, can’t exercise etc.
I’ve been on antibiotics for a month, and have had recurring yeast infections, and go to the ob-gyn with vaginal pain but they can’t see anything wrong. Very sensitive skin, so use baby soap, etc.
Have you ever had this condition? what did you do?
