Assemblymember Pedro Nava Launches Perinatal Depression Awareness Month

(Sacramento) Assemblymember Pedro Nava (D-Santa Barbara) and the State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC) of the Junior Leagues of California were joined by representatives from the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office; the Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force and Postpartum Support International to launch the first annual Perinatal Depression Awareness Month. Assemblymember Nava successfully authored ACR 105 this year to proclaim the month of May every year as Perinatal Depression Awareness Month.
